Thomas Frazier, MD, FACS, Surgical Oncologist

Dr. Thomas Frazier is current Medical Director of the NAPBC accredited Comprehensive Breast Center at the Bryn Mawr Hospital. Dr. Frazier has specialized in surgical oncology and diseases of the breast for more than 30 years and has served as the president of the American Cancer Society. His accomplishments include the first immediate reconstruction in the region, allowing women undergoing mastectomy to maintain a natural appearance of the breast. Dr. Frazier has introduced innovative biopsy techniques such as sentinel lymph node mapping, reducing the need for more extensive surgery.

Ari Brooks, MD, FACS, Surgical Oncologist

Associate Professor, Department of Surgery Adjunct Professor, Biomedical Graduate Studies and School of Biomedical Engineering, Drexel University College of Medicine. Dr. Brooks is the Director Surgical Research and Translational Bioengineering. Since completing his training at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Dr. Brooks has developed a special interest in emerging technologies, especially in relation to cancer diagnosis and treatment. He has received 9 Coulter Foundation grants as clinical co-investigator in diverse biomedical engineering applications. In 2005 he received the “Beacon of Hope, Light of Life” award from the Philadelphia affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer foundation. Last year he received the “Young Investigator Award” from Drexel U. College of Medicine.

John Gomes, MD, Obstetrics and Gynecology

John L. Gomes, M.D. received postgraduate training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Northshore University Hospital-Cornell Medical Center with additional rotations in the Pathology Department of Columbia University Medical Center and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center Gynecology Service. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology. Dr. Gomes currently has a private practice in Garden City, New York and is on attending staff at Winthrop University Hospital, a SUNY affiliate.

Rajendra Badwe, MD, FACS, Surgical Oncologist

Dr. Badwe is the Director of Tata Memorial Center; a premier national comprehensive cancer centre for the prevention, treatment, education and research in India. He was recently awarded the Reach to Recovery International medal (RRI). The International Union Against Cancer (UICC) granted the award to Dr Badwe at the 12th UICC RRI Conference. He is the member of Breast Health Global Initiative. He is one of the most highly regarded surgeons in India and has been practicing medicine for more than 20 years.

Mandar Nadkarni, MD, FACS, Surgical Oncology

Dr. Nadkarni is the Head of the breast surgery unit at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and Medical Research Center; one of the most modern, 700 bed hospital inaugurated in Mumbai just a few months back. Before this Dr. Nadkarni was stationed at Tata Memorial Hospital as the assistant Surgical Oncologist and worked closely with Dr. Badwe.
